By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use TruMate.

1. Eligibility

TruBase Technologies requires all users to meet certain eligibility criteria to ensure safety and compliance.

To use TruMate, you must meet the following requirements:

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• You must provide accurate, complete, and truthful information during registration and use.
• Accounts are limited to one per individual.
• TruMate may verify your identity using government-issued identification or passport documents.

2. Account Registration and Security

TruBase Technologies takes security seriously and expects users to maintain secure credentials.

When creating and using an account:

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must notify TruMate immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or security breach.
• TruMate may suspend or terminate accounts for suspected violations, fraudulent activity, or security concerns.
• Sharing your credentials or allowing others to access your account is prohibited.

3. User Responsibilities

TruBase Technologies expects all users to act responsibly and lawfully on the Platform.

Users must:

• Use the Platform lawfully, responsibly, and in accordance with these Terms.
• Respect the privacy and rights of other users.
• Avoid harassment, hate speech, abusive behavior, impersonation, scams, or fraudulent activity.
• Complete age and identity verification processes honestly.
• Ensure uploaded content is lawful and does not infringe intellectual property rights.
• Report suspicious or abusive behavior promptly.

Violations may result in warnings, content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.

4. Content and Media

TruBase Technologies allows users to share content while retaining ownership, but reserves the right to moderate.

Users should note:

• Ownership of content remains with the user, but TruMate is granted a non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, worldwide license to display and promote it.
• Content must be lawful and not infringe on others’ rights.
• TruMate can remove content violating policies, laws, or community standards.
• Malicious files, viruses, or disruptive content are prohibited.

5. Messaging and Communication

TruBase Technologies provides messaging tools for safe and private communication between users.

Users agree to:

• Use private messaging solely for communication within the Platform.
• Respect other users’ privacy and do not share private messages outside the Platform.
• Understand that TruMate is not responsible for interactions or transactions off-platform.
• Utilize blocking and reporting features to manage interactions and maintain safety.

6. Advertising, Brands, and Sponsors

TruBase Technologies works with brands and advertisers while maintaining strict privacy standards.

Key points include:

• Ads, sponsored content, and promotions may appear based on aggregated, anonymized data.
• Advertisers do not access private messages, verification data, or personally identifiable information.
• Sponsored content is clearly labeled and follows TruMate safety and community standards.
• Users can manage advertising preferences and opt out where legally permitted.
• Subscription plans may reduce or remove advertising.

7. Identity Verification and Safety

TruBase Technologies implements verification to enhance user safety and maintain authenticity.

Users should know:

• ID or passport verification may be required to access certain features.
• Verification ensures age compliance and helps detect fraudulent behavior.
• Accounts failing verification may be restricted or suspended.
• TruMate may monitor for suspicious or abusive activity.

8. Prohibited Conduct

TruBase Technologies enforces strict rules to maintain a safe and lawful environment.

Users may not:

• Impersonate others or entities
• Engage in sexual exploitation, harassment, or predatory behavior
• Solicit money or conduct financial scams
• Transmit malware or harmful content
• Circumvent restrictions or use automated bots

Violations may result in warnings, suspension, termination, and possible reporting to law enforcement.

9. Blocking and Reporting

TruBase Technologies provides tools to help users manage interactions and protect themselves.

Important points:

• Users may block or report others for violations or abuse.
• TruMate reviews reports confidentially and may remove content, restrict, or terminate accounts.
• Blocking is private; the blocked user is not notified.
• Illegal activity reports may be escalated to law enforcement.

10. Data Privacy

TruBase Technologies processes personal data in accordance with the TruMate Privacy Policy.

Key points:

• Users have rights under applicable data protection laws.
• TruMate implements measures to protect data from unauthorized access or loss.
• Use of the Platform constitutes consent to data collection and processing.

11. Payment and Subscription

TruBase Technologies offers paid features or subscriptions to enhance user experience.

Users should note:

• Subscription terms, billing, and cancellation are governed by the subscription agreement.
• TruMate may update fees or introduce new features with notice.
• Non-payment may result in restricted access to paid features.

12. Termination and Suspension

TruBase Technologies reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for policy violations or legal reasons.

• Accounts may be restricted or deleted at TruMate’s discretion.
• Users may close their accounts anytime; TruMate will delete data per the Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimers

TruBase Technologies provides the Platform “as is” without guarantees.

• No warranty of matches, interactions, or outcomes.
• Users engage at their own risk.
• TruMate is not responsible for conduct or agreements outside the Platform.

14. Limitation of Liability

TruBase Technologies limits its liability to the maximum extent permitted by law.

• No liability for indirect or consequential damages.
• Users are responsible for their own actions, interactions, and decisions.

15. Changes to Terms

TruBase Technologies may update these Terms periodically.

• Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
• Major updates may be communicated via email or in-app notifications.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of South Africa.
